this is a very simple guide for how to lock your Palm Pre.
1. okay first you need to start at the home screen of your phone.
2. pull up the launcher(slide finger from bottom of screen to top)
3. navigate two tabs to the right.
4. there will be an option for screen&lock, open it.
Now you are free to set up simple pin passwords or even just regular passwords.
you can also change the lighting of your screen to meet your standards. I hope this helps!
